Gold Ring of Surgical Merit will be granted annually to the best graduate of Medical University of Gdansk, who meets necessary criteria listed below and wins competition among all graduates who meet the necessary criteria. All other graduates meeting the criteria will be listed in The Surgical Merit League.

Conditions necessary to be involved in The Surgical Merit League:

• More than 80% passing score in all surgical tests and exams
• More than 100 operations in The Operation Log
• Attended all Facultative Courses

If two or more students meet all those requirements, next criteria will be employed in the following order of importance:

• Overall number of operations from The Operation Log
• Cumulated number of big points from TJS Annual Prize
• Cumulated number of small points from TJS Annual Prize
• Cumulated % of passing score
